B-52’s (CockRoaches)

B-52’s (CockRoaches)

After a little over three months living in this little apartment in a house that one of my co-worker had rented to me. I find many types of bugs living here as well: Spider in the bathroom, a small centipede in the shower, some small critters that I don’t know the name of, lots of this little black ants and most of all I share my living space with the Cockroaches or B-52’s is what they call ‘em here in Hawai’i.

I am not afraid of it, I just feel creepy? I don’t like touching it or even seeing it for that matter, but as days go I learn to combat it on a daily basis. Just two hours ago I made my first kill of the night, I average about two per-day.

I once said they’re smart, but the more I got to know them, I have a change of mind…They are dumb! Dumb enough to be seen by me. Once I spot them I immediately ran towards it and stump it with my Tongs and I hear this crunch sound, that sound is like the sound of  breaking a walnut and it is an addicting sound as it makes me stump more and more of them.

Cockroaches think they’re smart, last month in September when I DIN’T HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION at this house. I had seen one crawling on the bedroom wall it entered from the top of the door. The moment I saw it it notice that I had seen it and I was only a couple of feet away. So I grab one of my tongs but by the time I was ready to slap it, it went on the other side of the door. I went on the other side of the door to only go back on the other side. We did this three times and for a second I thought I was being out smarted (not hard to do). So, me having just a little larger brain than the Cockroaches I tried to out-smart it, by faking to go on the other side and guess what??? It work. When it finally realize that it had been out-smarted (by me of course) I could almost hear it say “Uh Oh” and SLAP!!! with the Tong, but not too hard, hitting those too hard would just make so much more of a mess and what’s worst part of the mess could land on my body or even worst…the mouth area (gross). So Cockroach lands and almost always on it’s back, once on it’s back it usually will never get back on it’s feet, except for that one time, that was a mystery unless one of it’s buddies help it out.

I finally made a step forward by purchasing a can of Raid “Ants and Roaches”. Just after getting home from the store I notice a decline of Ants on the wall, it was odd considering that it is always there no matter how many of them I kill with a sponge and before I could use the Raid on them most had bail-out, do they know this in advance?

Lets see for about three months Ants on walls and floors and kitchen counter tops, then I go to the store and bought me a can of Raid and before I get to use it, they disappear? Weird.

I use it lightly around the places where they would come in, and it does work pretty well, I started seeing dead roaches by the door and cabinets when I get home. I saw one by the door outside and I just happen to have the can of Raid on hand and sprayed it directly to the roach and it fell and landed on it’s back.

Why I had waited to buy this I don’t know, but for those wanting to know what effective ways of killing Ants and Roaches, well the answer is at the store shelf called Raid “Ants&Roach”.

I still see Ants around that’s because I am not spraying as much and I am not hunting on where the Ant Queen might be residing, simply when I see a trail of Ants I spray lightly.

As far as Roaches goes, they are coming from the outside and or from the other rooms in the house and for the first time last night I did not see any roaches at all.
